Sulekha Ebelle is an actress, producer, writer and proud Bollywood Texan who can two-step as well as she Banghras.
Born and raised in West Texas, Sulekha discovered her passion for acting after attending a summer program at Yale School of Drama and broke her parents heart when she transferred out of her economics major at UTA and headed west to study Theatre and Business Administration at Pepperdine University.
A natural comedienne, Sulekha is the creative love child of Rosalind Russell and Amitabh Bachachan, equally at home playing comedy or drama.
Her television credits include featured roles on Billions, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Law & Order, The Blacklist, and Power, as well as film roles alongside Nastassja Kinski, Kal Penn and Aaron Tveit.
As a producer, she co-created the independent feature, Waking Dreams, with Navid Neghaban and Jamie Elman, as well as two short films which received praise on the festival circuit—including the prestigious Clermont Ferrand Festival in France.
Sulekha’s view is global, taking her larger-than-life Texan spirit and expansive Indian heart into her films, illuminating each of them with her passion and commitment to the South Asian community. A tireless advocate, Sulekha is committed “To make a difference in my community and change the way South Asian women are perceived.”
A true visual artist, Sulekha also holds a Masters in Interior Design from Parsons. Proud mother of two, she and her husband split their time between Paris, NYC, and Los Angeles.
